CTMH October Blog Hop ~ Giving Thanks!

Welcome to this month's CTMH blog hop; showcasing gratitude and thanks  in anticipation of the Thanksgiving holiday. You will see creations from our team that may include stamp sets, patterned paper, inks, embellishments and more from the Close To My Heart Autumn Idea Book. To purchase any of the items seen in our blog hop today, you can contact myself or check out my web page: http://cardsbytamara.ctmh.com/ to place an order.

Today, I am using Sky, Sweet Leaf and Cremé Brulee ink and the Always Grateful (C1559) stamp set for the 1st card.  For the 2nd card, I am using the Laughing Lola Paper Pack.

We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers....whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn how to do....by leaving us comments, we get to hear what you like, and what you want to see. Thank you… now on to our hop!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you get lost you can find your way by going to Brae's blog at
Brae Montgomery-  http://thebrae-er.blogspot.ca/2013/09/october-team-blog-hop-thankful-for-so.html or http://thebrae-er.blogspot.com for a full list of participants.

If you came from Brae Montgomery's blog for this month's blog hop:    http://thebrae-er.blogspot.ca/2013/10/october-team-blog-hop-thankful-for-so.html then you are in the right place!  I'm sure she has done an amazing project that will help inspire you to create new thankful inspired crafts!

I actually have two cards that are very different in style. The first card is totally borrowed from a pinterest idea. I fell in love with her card and couldn't wait to recreate it myself. The only change I made was to change the message and two of the colors ~ Sky, Sweet Leaf and Creme Brulee (she used Buttercup ink)....and Desert Sand (she used Slate) as a neutral! The inks were sponged onto the White Daisy CS with daubers (start with the top Sky ink, then the bottom Sweet Leaf ink and finish with the Creme Brule in the middle and also daubed throughout to blend it). The message is from the Always Grateful stamp set (C1559).  The black and white twine is from the Neutral Assortment (Z1701)
This is a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" top fold card.

The cardstock colors are: White Daisy, Desert Sand, and Black

Hope you love this card as much I do!

The second card is a twist fold card using Laughing Lola Paper and the A True Thank You Stamp set (M1027).  The bottom of the stamped word, YOU, is colored in with the Gypsy Marker Set.
The inside is great for holding a gift card!!

You need:
a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of purple cardstock from the Laughing Lola paper pack (Laughing Lola Purple), scored on the diagonal and folded up (then folded in half across the straight bottom, see below)
2 x 5 1/2 B&T Duo paper cut on the diagonal
4 x 4 1/2 piece of daisy white cardstock* see below for cutting
4 x 4 1/2 B&T Duo Laughing Lola* see below for cutting

 ($9.95 X7170B)!

Here is the card open flat and with the Happy Birthday Heartfelt Birthday Wish sentiment stamp (M1033)!

 * on the 4" side, mark the 2" spot ~ cut diagonally from the 2" to the bottom of the other side of the 4" side.  (see photo above to see cut and placement)

Your next stop on the Hop is " Michelle Hughes blog with another great Cricut inspired idea:  http://therighthugh.blogspot.com/2013/10/brea-er-october-team-blog-hop.html
